It’s a crisp wintery day and there’s a post-card perfect scene through my office window of ice-frosted trees along Research Drive at Innovation Place (yes, I am lucky).

This 35th year of Ag-West Bio is quickly coming to an end. Be sure to read the article below from our annual report: 35 Years of Ag-West Bio: Learning from the past, looking to the future.

Other articles showcase several investee companies. As always, they illustrate the diversity of our bioscience/agri-food sector. These hard-working entrepreneurs embody the Ag-West Bio slogan, Pure Heart. Prairie Science.  Supporting them is our priority.

“We see these pioneering spirits driving society forward. We’re prepared to stand in the corner of these champions, backing their ventures, fueling their pursuit of redefining agriculture through science.”

Our efforts to build this ecosystem include networking events where we bring people together to learn more about each other and discover how they can work together and support one another. In the past few months, we have collaborated with numerous organizations to host events. Global Biotech Week alone had 12 events with over 2100 attendees. Thank you to everyone who participated in making the events and activities so successful!

Earlier this month, our Sprouting Success Speaker Series in partnership with Affinity Credit Union and GAAP, brought us to Humboldt for Meeting the Challenge: Innovation in Agriculture, featuring a panel discussion with Cory Willness (Croptimistic Technology), Kyle Folk (Ground Truth Ag), and Michael Ferguson (Collective Impact), three innovators who started companies to solve agricultural challenges.
