Acres for Education is a campaign for all people who believe agriculture education is important for the future of our industry, our province, our communities, and our farms. Funds raised through the campaign will bring students closer to agriculture through field trips to farms and agriculture events. The $100,000 campaign goal would enable 200 classrooms to grow their understanding of where food comes from by connecting with agriculture in their local community. You help can make this happen.
Last year in its inaugural year, over $70,000 in donations were received equipping over 700 classrooms in the province with agricultural information to build an understanding of our food system and support for our farmers and ranchers.
For over 30 years, Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) has stood at the crossroads of education and agriculture. Each year, our initiatives reach hundreds of schools and communities across the province providing thousands of students with invaluable lessons and experiences about the world of modern agriculture.
But our work isn’t done.
Students need more out-of-school experiences to connect with people in the local agriculture community. AITC-SK provides experiences like field trips out to ranches, farms, agri-businesses, and ag events. Through these experiences students can see for themselves how our food is produced sustainably, with care, and with the goal to leave the land better for the generations ahead. After all, these young people will one day make decisions on foods to buy, policies to support, and decisions on their career.
Without your support, we won’t be able to fulfill the need for quality agriculture experiences that get students out of classrooms and up close with agriculture.
You can make a difference in agriculture education by making a charitable donation.
Your gift will give students the chance to dig in the soil, see animals up close, talk to a farmer, witness the wonder of growth, explore careers in agriculture, and understand the tireless work that goes into producing their food. It’s not just about growing plants and raising animals; it’s about growing minds.
The work we do at AITC-SK is possible because of the generosity of the agriculture community – people like you. When you donate, you’re not just giving money; you’re investing in a legacy of knowledge, stewardship, and respect for the land that sustains us all. It’s about showing youth the importance of agriculture in their everyday lives and inspiring the next generation of consumers, growers, innovators, leaders, and future employees.
Every contribution, large or small, makes a significant impact.
Your donation to the Acres for Education campaign will help ensure that every student in Saskatchewan has the opportunity to experience the wonders of agriculture up close.
Together, we can cultivate a generation of informed, engaged, and passionate individuals who will lead the way in sustaining and innovating agriculture. Your donation plants the seeds for a brighter, more sustainable future.
