Company Information:

The Co-op Ethanol Complex (CEC), formerly Terra Grain Fuels, is an ethanol production facility near Belle Plaine, Sask. Since its construction in 2008, it has made a significant economic impact in southern Saskatchewan. The facility adds to Co-op’s unique, mutually beneficial relationship with producers — serving and supplying their needs while also directly and indirectly purchasing their products. The CEC annually produces up to 150 million litres of ethanol, which is blended into CO-OP® Fuels at the Co-op Refinery Complex. The CEC primarily uses wheat as a feedstock in its ethanol production; however, other grains and starch-rich crops may be used.
