Company Bio:
The Co-op Ethanol Complex (CEC), formerly Terra Grain Fuels, is an ethanol production facility near Belle Plaine, Sask. Since its construction in 2008, it has made a significant economic impact in southern Saskatchewan. The facility adds to Co-op's unique, mutually beneficial relationship with producers serving and supplying their needs while also directly and indirectly purchasing their products. The CEC annually produces up to 150 million litres of ethanol, which is blended into CO-OP ® Fuels at the Co-op Refinery Complex. The CEC primarily uses wheat as a feedstock in its ethanol production; however, other grains and starch-rich crops may be used.
