3:00pm – 5:00pm | Light snacks and drinks | Presentation, Q&A, Panel* & Networking
Join Prairie Food Link for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and practical insights for Saskatchewan’s food and ingredient processing sector.
This mixer will feature a special presentation from Jay Holmes, Executive Director, Business Enablement and Regulatory Services of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) focused on helping businesses better understand the path from provincial to federal licensing and the opportunities that come with interprovincial trade.
CFIA will share insights into their concierge model for small and medium-sized food businesses in Canada, including offering guidance around the Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licensing requirements, preventive control plans, and navigating regulatory expectations.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an open Q&A discussion with CFIA.
The second half of the mixer will feature a rapid update on select government funding opportunities. Attendees will be provided with a brief update on current funding programs, opportunities, and supports available to food and ingredient entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan.
