Carter Olson, CPA is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a diverse background in finance, operations, entrepreneurship, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for combining strong financial expertise with a practical, people-focused approach to solving complex business challenges.
Carter spent the beginning of his accounting career with Deloitte, where he worked in both Audit and Advisory services, assisting private and public organizations with financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and business process improvement. Following Deloitte, he joined BL Harbert International, where he served as Finance and Administration Manager on a major international construction project in Africa. In this role, Carter helped establish the region’s largest project-based company, leading a 40-person finance and administration team and supporting more than 800 local employees and 100 expatriates. His work included financial management, accounting, payroll, human resources, procurement, compliance, and operational planning.
In addition to his corporate experience, Carter has a strong entrepreneurial background. He has founded and co-owned several businesses spanning landscaping, waste management, and technology-enabled service platforms. Today, he is the co-owner of My Sask Senior Living, where he is helping build a digital marketplace that connects Saskatchewan seniors and families with housing and support services.
Born and raised in Saskatoon and graduate of the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business, Carter is passionate about helping organizations make informed decisions, improve operations, and achieve sustainable growth through sound financial management and strategic planning.
