Amy Carruthers

Program Development Manager

Amy‘s passion for agriculture stems from participating in 4-H and later raising and selling lambs to the end user on her family’s farm in Northwest Saskatchewan. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and is currently a Master of Science candidate in the Agricultural and Resource Economics department at the University of Saskatchewan. In her spare time, Amy can be found helping on the farm, biking through Saskatoon or volunteering as the Finance Director of Sask Girls United, a non-profit organization.

During her undergraduate degree, Amy held roles in the crop protection industry and with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture. Living and studying in the Netherlands allowed Amy to learn about agriculture across Europe and in northern Africa. This experience highlighted Saskatchewan’s cutting-edge agriculture and top-quality food production. At Ag-West Bio, Amy will work to facilitate leading edge events and programs for producers, businesses and stakeholders in the agricultural and food biosciences space.
