Genome Prairie is a not-for-profit organization that collaborates with government, academia and industry to lead large-scale genomics research projects in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Saskatchewan Research Council’s Agriculture, Biotechnology & Food division is a leading solutions provider to biofuels and bioproducts companies. We focus on commercializing technology and transferring it to and from our clients. The Industry Liaison Office (ILO) manages the wide variety of intellectual property arising from the University of Saskatchewan’s comprehensive research program. ILO adds value to University inventions through a program that facilitates the adoption and commercialization of technology through patenting, prototype development, licensing and start-up company support. The Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (SIAST) is a leader in the education of laboratory technologists. Its Biotechnology program prepares students to work in the Biosciences sector and is nationally accredited by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board. The Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) funds the work of researchers, facilitates efforts that grow the province’s research enterprise, and promotes the knowledge borne of health research. As lead agency for Saskatchewan’s Health Research Strategy, SHRF works as a catalyst, supporting research in priority areas that reflect the province’s geography, people, and capabilities. Agriculture in the Classroom Sask. (AITC-SK) promotes agriculture education and awareness in the province with support from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture and the agriculture industry, and through partnerships with educators, agribusiness and agriculture organizations.
