University of Regina Researcher Jon McPhetres discusses his research showing that knowledge about the science of genetically modified foods is the most important predictor of one’s attitudes towards genetically modified products.
Teaching people about the science behind the technology is relatively simple and is effective in promoting more positive attitudes. Jon will also discuss future plans for research in the area of understanding people’s beliefs about science and ways to promote interest in science.
