Exclusive Student Workshop: Real Dirt on Farming Speaker Training
March 21, 2016
3:30 – 7:30 pm

This is a four-hour workshop for students who are interested in learning to answer questions and give effective presentations on farm topics including:

•    Canadian Farming 101
•    Farming Myths
•    Farming and the Environment
•    Food and Farming
•    Animal Care on the Farm

The training is based on The Real Dirt on Farming, a national Farm & Food Care Canada resource that addresses the top ten interests of consumers related to food and farming. Participants will leave the training with five presentations that can be customized for their own use, as well as copies of the booklet that they can distribute.

With less than 2% of the Canadian population having a direct link to the farm, it is more important than ever for those of us involved in farming and food production work together to gain public trust. By developing relationships with consumers through sharing our stories and being transparent about how food is produced, we can reassure people that the food grown in Saskatchewan is safe and responsibly produced.

This event is free, but registration is required. Click here to register.

Supper will be provided
