Biotech Blast is a student outreach event for grades 7 and 8. Biotech Blast gives teachers an opportunity to enhance science learning by bringing their students to the University of Saskatchewan to take part in hands-on workshops. Activities include kiwi DNA extraction, a biodiesel workshop, plant sciences (plant growth and soil sciences); animal sciences (disease prevention, forensics, and dissection of a pig heart).
