Bob Tyler


Bob is a Professor in the Department of Food and Bioproduct Sciences, and an Associate Member in the Department of Plant Sciences, at the University of Saskatchewan. He has been engaged in teaching, research and extension in the areas of food processing, product development, and grain crop processing and utilization for nearly forty years at the U of S and at the National Research Council of Canada.

Bob has served terms as Department Head, Associate Dean Academic, Acting Associate Dean Research, Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, and Acting Dean in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources, as President of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists and the Saskatchewan Agricultural Graduates Association, and as a director of Mustard Capital Inc. and the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre. Bob is currently chair of Ag-West Bio and of the Saskatchewan Agri-Food Council, which oversees the Province’s agri-food marketing and development boards and development commissions. Bob is currently the acting Chief Technical Officer for Protein Industries Canada supercluster.
