Canada has developed a complex, multi-level regulatory environment to ensure the use of new technology does not endanger the health and safety of Canadians, or damage the environment. In addition, Canadian law sets out measures to ensure that the developers of new technologies can protect their intellectual property and recoup their research and development costs.
Ag-West Bio acts as a liaison between Saskatchewan scientists in industry, government, academia and regulatory authorities in Canada and international markets to acquire regulatory approval for their novel technology.
Ag-West Bio will represent the Saskatchewan bio-based industry at national and international meetings, government hearings and panels.
