Summer 2018

Saskatchewan's best season is upon us! What a great place to be in the summer. Temperatures are in the 'just right' range most days, and long summer evenings end with skies splashed with intense orange, pinks and gold. Just gorgeous.

In the bioscience world, this is an exciting place to be right now. The work of setting up the organizational structure and policy foundation of the new pan-prairie supercluster, Protein Industries Canada (PIC) continues. Read about the start of the supercluster below, and visit the PIC website for updates: proteinindustriescanada.ca

The highly-anticipated legalization of cannabis will bring new opportunities to the bioscience cluster. Saskatchewan is well-positioned to become a lead in the research into the medical properties of cannabis. Read about the University of Saskatchewan's Cannabis Research Initiative (CRIS) in the articles below.

We are happy to share news and events from Saskatchewan's research cluster and Ag-West Bio's member companies. Thank you to those who contributed to this Bulletin. We are also active on social media: like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn, and subscribe to our mailing list.
